His 20 books include the non-fiction titles Northern Dreamers: Interviews With Famous Authors Of Science Fiction, Fantasy And Horror and Writing Horror, and the short story collections Death Drives A Semi and Six-Inch Spikes. His latest novel is Teeth.

van Belkom can also be seen as the host of the "Post Mortem" segment on SCREAM, Canada's new all-horror cable channel. "Post Mortem" airs Monday through Thursday at Midnight (EST).
