Derwin Mak
Derwin Mak is an author of quirky science fiction stories.
Recent and upcoming publications: "Transubstantiation",
about Jesus appearing near Mars as a Jewish teenaged girl in
a Catholic schoolgirl uniform (Northwest Passages: a
Cascadian Anthology, Windstorm Creative, 2005); and
"Seventy-two Virgins", about an incompetent suicide
bomber, his ex-girlfriend, and the two gay guys across the
street (Thou Shalt Not..., Dark Cloud Press, spring
2006). So far, nobody has disputed his claim to be the
leading expert on the archetype of the schoolgirl in science
fiction, fantasy, and horror. He was also anime correspondent
for the magazines Parsec and RicePaper.
