Kim Paffenroth

Kim Paffenroth is a professor of religious studies at Iona College. He has recently turned his research on the religious themes he finds in SF and horror. He first published an examination of science fiction, The Truth Is Out There: Christian Faith and the Classics of TV Science Fiction. Shortly after that, his analysis of Romero's zombie films, Gospel of the Living Dead: George Romero's Visions of Hell on Earth, won the 2006 Bram Stoker Award in the non-fiction category. Since then, he has published his first zombie novel, Dying to Live, which has garnered much praise from fans and fellow authors. The sequel, Dying to Live 2: Life Sentence, was released in 2008. He has also edited an anthology of zombie tales, History Is Dead.
