Kim Paffenroth
Kim Paffenroth is a professor of religious studies at
Iona College. He has recently turned his research on the
religious themes he finds in SF and horror. He first
published an examination of science fiction, The Truth
Is Out There: Christian Faith and the Classics of TV
Science Fiction. Shortly after that, his analysis of
Romero's zombie films, Gospel of the Living Dead:
George Romero's Visions of Hell on Earth, won the
2006 Bram Stoker Award in the non-fiction category.
Since then, he has published his first zombie novel,
Dying to Live, which has garnered much praise from
fans and fellow authors. The sequel, Dying to Live 2:
Life Sentence, was released in 2008. He has also
edited an anthology of zombie tales, History Is Dead.
