Darrell Schweitzer was a World Fantasy Award finalist
(with Jason Van Hollander) for best collection in 2000, for
Necromancies And Netherworlds. His other most recent
books are another collection, Nightscapes, a volume of
poetry, Groping Toward the Light, and a pamphlet of
funny Lovecraftian rhymes, Stop Me Before I Do It Again!.
His two novels, The Shattered Goddess and The Mask Of
The Sorcerer, are available from the Science Fiction Book
Club. His stories have appeared in Amazing,
Interzone, Twilight Zone, Night Cry,
Wierdbook, Whispers, and numerous anthologies,
including the recent Barnes & Nobel Crafty Cat Crimes.
His story "The Fire Eggs" was just reprinted in Year's
Best Science Fiction edited by David Hartwell. Some of his
other collections are Tom O'Bedlam's Night Out,
Transients, We Are All Legends, and Refugees
From An Imaginary Country. He has written book-length
studies of Lord Dunsany and H. P. Lovecraft and reviews for
Aboriginal SF and The New York Review of Science
Fiction.
He has been co-editor of Weird Tales since 1988.
